It is Sunday morning… and what makes this morning different than the others? Exactly. Time. Time to unwind, time to relax, time to prepare a nice large breakfast, time to go to the park and do some stretches. Right. I went out for a run. I am not that type of a 10k runner, but 3,5k is perfect. I call it a more mindful way of running. Listening to the birds, enjoying the sun, standing still to do some lunges and squats…
When I came back home I needed something that would gave me a boost. A boost to energize, to recharge, to fill up my sweat-out-minerals-and-vitamins. And, on my intuition I tried this recipe. Definitely a keeper. Try it yourself, drink it and tell me how you feel.
-Half of avocado
-Plant based milk (I used coconut milk because it was open)
-Matcha powder (little bag)*
-2 big spoons of raw cacao powder**
-Dates (4 or 5 or less) to sweeten it more
Blend it all together and enjoy! For decoration ofcourse you can add coconut flakes or cacao nibs or hennep seed or blueberries… you name it!
*about matcha: 5 times more than any type of food matcha contains antioxidants. Antioxidants are those magical nutrients and enzymes who are responsible for capturing free radicals. Matcha detoxifies the body and fortifies the immune system.
**about raw cacao: Cacao has one of the highest concentrations of magnesium in his natural food source. It creates a lot of enery and combats fatigue. Magnesium also helps to protect against osteoporosis, reduces type II diabetes, and lowers blood pressure. Important: Don’t confuse raw (naturally fermented) cacao and processed chocolate. These are two completely separate foods. Processed chocolate sold in bars is made with roasted cocoa, sugar, milk, and other ingredients that turn it into a solid food.
