Breathe in and...breathe out...haaaaa. Yes! This morning me and my boyfriend did some very nice yoga. I love flow yoga and Claudia van der Tier is one of the best teachers of Prana Vinyasa yoga I know. A few weeks ago we had the chance to enjoy her lesson at Vinkeveen at Yoga Festival Retreat Yourself. Now, being in Haarlem during our vacation, we did not had to think twice to take this oppurtinity to go to her class again. For me, as a yogateacher it is so nice (and actually very important) to receive some lessons from others once in a while.
The morning class started quite early, too early for me to have a large breakfast. I had already in mind to make pancakes after yogaclass. So I jumped out of bed, drank some water and ran to this beautiful yoga place named GLOW Yoga. The class was great and I really got inspired! At the start we were told to place an intention for ourself for this moment or because it was the first day of the week. I wished some more loving kindness towards myself. During class she reminded us to repeat our intention and with the rythm of the breath we dissolved with our intention. At the end of class I felt more softness and compassion towards myself. Beautiful.
Back home the inspiration and lovable thoughts about myself were still close to me. There was this glow all over me and I grinned remembering the studio's name. My stomach told me it was time for some action!
I blended 100 gr oatflakes to fine flour, added a hand of spinach, a banana (or half), 0.25dl almond milk (maybe more just go for some nice mix), a pinch of salt, and I baked delicious green pancakes inspired by the Green Happiness girls. The last batch I added the secret ingredient: matcha! Matcha is known for its good health benefits. It contains a huge amount of antioxidants that prevent cancer. Besides that matcha is rich in fiber, chlorophyll and vitamins. Very important to me: it helps for balancing hormones and skin problems and stabilize blood sugar. Hmmmm.
Collect all the fruit you have and decorate it over the pancakes. Enjoy!
